Production

In the ArcelorMittal plants, the rails are initially produced in lengths of 30, 60, 90 and 120 metres. After rolling, the rails are welded into long-welded rails with lengths of up to 390 metres in welding and processing plants or mobile applications. This is generally based on the individual wishes of our customers. The connection weld is implemented via machine flash butt welding; after the alignment, any burrs formed are polished.

The end product is the premium long-welded rail with DB certification.
